Description
The Lower Falls of Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is the largest volume waterfall in the Rocky Mountains and the most popular waterfall in Yellowstone National Park. The falls flows through a 590,000 year old Canyon Rhyolite lava flow. The Lower Falls is one of two falls on the Yellowstone River with the Upper Falls being the other fall in the canyon.
The waterfall can be viewed from several overlooks in the park with one of the most popular being Artist Point.
