Description
Leaders of the Ladder Day Saints in Salt Lake City in the late 1800's decided to send members to other locations in the West as part of an expansion effort. The Moultons brothers were sent to the rugged lands around Jackson, Wyoming. This is one of two Moulton brother barns built about 1890. This barn belonged to Thomas Moulton and a similar barn just down the road belonged to his brother John Moulton. Somehow, despite the harsh conditions both brothers were successful in raising crops and surviving at the base of the Teton Mountains.
