Description
The Lower Falls of Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is the largest volume waterfall in the Rocky Mountains and the most popular waterfall in Yellowstone National Park. The falls flows through a 590,000 year old Canyon Rhyolite lava flow. The Lower Falls is one of two falls on the Yellowstone River with the Upper Falls being the other fall in the canyon. This stunning waterfall can be viewed from several overlooks with one of the most popular stops being Artist Point.
This famous waterfall image is one of many images in my Yellowstone portfolio at www.mariastrussphotography.com. Also be sure to visit my blog for tips of photographing Yellowstone's Geyser Basins.
